Pair of Directoire mahogany armchairs, lyra-shaped backrest, lion legs-shaped feet, late 18th century Parisian production circa 1795 - 1800.

Very interesting model showing what remains of Louis XVI style (lyra sculpted backrests) together with the animal legs shaped feet - new trend of early 19th century. Although not stamped, they are most probably the work of George Jacob or his also very talented cousin Henri Jacob.

Our armchairs are in very good condition. Mahogany has been cleaned and re-polished. Covered with an elegant new black & white striped fabric.
