Pair of mahogany chairs, mahogany veneer and mahogany-coloured walnut. Original decoration on the back with an antique trophy motif : crossed gladius swords behind a shield, blackened pattern to simulate patinated bronze.

Empire production, early 19th century circa 1800 - 1805.

The wood was revarnished as new and covered with a black and white striped fabric (Lelièvre) : an elegant finish that remains very classic and modern at the same time.

The whole set is in excellent condition.
