Large marquetry commode, 18th century production - Louis XV period circa 1740. Beautiful veneer, finely chiseled ormolu bronze decoration, grey-pink marble on top.

Unusual format - 145 wide (while large chests of drawers are normally 130cm), 4 drawers raws (while most chests have 3 rows) : probably a special order for a large room.

Francois Garnier's signature FG stamped 6 times - Francois Garnier : one of the great 18th century Parisian cabinet makers.

In excellent condition : no accident, varnish has been restaured in a traditional way, ormolu is still fresh.
