Rare, beautiful pair of Louis XV rosewood marquetry corner cupboards, finely chiseled bronzes ornamented with royal crowns, thick grey-pink marble on top - 18th century production circa 1750.
Very elegant model, perfect proportions, much refined marquetry work.
The colours have remained very fresh, the flower marquetry pattern is constrasting.
In 18th century, corner cupboards used to be manufactured as a pair (or even 4 pieces sometimes) ; the pairs were often shared during inheritance processes. Our pair has fortunately not been split, that makes it quite a rare item to find.
In excellent condition. Varnish has been renewed in a traditional way. Marbles are undamaged.
Origin : Château de La Maroutière, Anjou, France
