Large Empire mahogany sofa, in the so-called back from Egypt style. France, early 19th century circa 1810s. Unfortunately not stamped but probably made by Jacob.

Very rare seat that was used to find in the small cabinets of Empress Josephine and other Imperial princesses.

In very good condition, varnish was cleaned and re-polished. Newly covered with a grey velvet.
