Late 18th century solid mahogany and mahogany veneer desk armchair decorated with brass and ebony stars and tin and ebony rose. So-called a l'etrusque armchair. French Directoire period circa 1790.

Not stamped, attributed to Georges Jacob.

In excellent condition. Old restorations. The varnish has been remade in a traditional way. Covered with a 100% silk Directoire style fabric.
