Louis XVI half-moon-shaped marquetry commode / chest of drawers, 18th century.
This is a beautiful marquetry model with musical trophies, vases of flowers, fruits, everyday accessories (tea box ...) patterns.
This type of pattern is reminiscent of Topino's productions. Our chest of drawers has a stamp on the top, partly erased, which we have not identified with certainty ; nevertheless it could be Jean Lapie's stamp (great French cabinetmaker, master in 1762, active until 1790).
