Mahogany and ormolu commode / chest of drawers, Consulate production, early 19th century circa 1800.
Beautiful model decorated with women busts on top of pilasters and other finely chiseled mercury gilt bronze decorations (palm leaves, Bacchus masks handles), luxurious white marble on top, lion claws-shaped feet ahead of the chest, shamrock-shaped locks with the matching key. Probably a piece of a follower of Molitor.
