Empire mahogany chest of drawers / commode, early 19th century circa 1800.

Fineley chiseled mercury gilt bronze (ormolu) ornamentation with Egyptian women busts, patinated claws to simulate bronze, blue Turquin marble on top, shamrock-shaped locks : high quality Parisian production not stamped, in the taste of Molitor or Jacob Frères.

In excellent condition. Original gilt has remained fresh. Antique small repairs.
