Rosewood, amaranth and box tree marquetry commode, Louis XV Parisian production circa 1770. It opens with 3 drawers, coated with finely chiseled bronzes, its original luxury pink marble on top.
Our commode is a Louis XVI style production which makes it a collector : a forerunner model made under Louis XV reign in the style of Louis XVI.
Although not stamped, this work makes us think about some French cabinetmaker Conrad Mauter production.
In excellent condition. Varnish has been made in a traditional way. A small accident at the marble's back left corner.
