Empire mahogany commode and ormolu, so called a l'anglaise shape, the drawers being covered with 2 panels.

19th century production attributed to Jabob Desmalter although not stamped : top-of-the-range finish, refined ormolu ornamentation (lyra, lion nose, reed), its original thick pink marble on top.
