Pair of ormolu candlesticks, Empire period - early 19th century - beautiful quiver-shaped model, finely chiseled gilt bronze, matt and shiny finish gilt. The base is decorated with war, geography and botanics allegoric items.

Attributed to bronze maker Claude Galle.

In excellent condition. Mercury gilt is very fresh and bright (restored in early 20th century).
