Solid mahogany paravent, late 18th century / early 19th century.

English word for paravent would be screen designed to hide something from the other side. However, original paravents, very fashionable piece of furniture during 18th century, were designed to protect form wind (para means "to protect against" and vent means "wind").

Ours is an authentical paravent that protects from wind without protecting from being seen on the other side, being designed with glass.

Refined finish, very elegant item, in excellent condition.

Width : 3*54cm (total : 165cm)
Height : 183cm
