Early 19th century French school , allegorical scene showing the 3 Graces dancing for the gods with the sound of the tambourine and Apollo playing the lyra. (The Three Graces known as the Charites in Greek mythology, goddesses of charm, beauty and creativity. In Roman mythology, they were known as the Gratiae (Graces)).
Oil on canvas mounted on a panel set into an Empire gold leaf gilt wood frame.
Nice painting, charming. Ideal to complement an early 19th century neoclassical decoration. Good general condition, painting was cleaned, fresh and cheerful colors with some wear.
