Large colored etching or engraving showing General Marceau, a military hero of the French Revolution (soldier at 16, General at 23, killed on battefield at 27).
The model was created in 1798 by Antoine Sergent-Marceau, it is a contemporary / Empire period production.
Very decorative large size militaria collector. Superb pastel colors, presented in a beautiful 19th century gold leaf gilt frame (perfect condition and just cleaned by our gilder).
