18th century Dutch school attributed to Mattheus Terwesten, allegory of wealth picturing a goddess holding a horn of plenty (cornucopia) in which putti pick fruits up watched by Bacchus. In the background, huntress Diana with her muses. Oil on panel (oak tree) set into its original gold leaf gilt wood frame.
Mattheus Terwesten (1670 - 1757) was a well known Dutch painter, famous for his portraits and allegoric scenes painted on walls and ceilings.
