Exceptional pair of mahogany armchairs, late Directoire / early Consulate period, late 18th century circa 1798. Attributed to Jacob Frères.
Our seats are called back from Egypt style with pharahos heads and a pattern very close to the seats of Juliette Recamier exhibited at Louvre Museum.
Our seats were fully restored : new varnish made in a traditionnal way, covered with antique silk and decoration (those materials are close to 100 years old but were never used before).
Spectacular seats, very rare, in excellent condition.
