Empire mahogany chair, beautiful Parisian production attributed to Marcion, one of the greatest cabinetmakers in early 19th century, circa 1810.

Interesting historical piece, the chair bearing both chateau de Compiègne and palais de l'Elysee marks.

Covered with a much refined slate-grey velvet enhanced with an antique gilt braid weaved with a gold thread.

In excellent condition.
