Rare set of 4 mahogany chairs, end of French Consulate period / early Empire. All the pieces are stamped Jacob D R Meslée (stamp used between 1803 and 1813).
Jacob is the most prestigious French furniture and seat makers of the Empire and early 19th century. He was supplier of the French Crown (Imperial and Royal).
Jacob production has always high quality finishes and original patterns. Just as our seat which looks like it was designed in the 1920's ; actually they were manufactured 100 years earlier !
Excellent condition, completely restored as new with the highest standards. Tassinari and Chatel silk (da Vinci fabric).
Beautiful collectors, rare model and level of quality that can be found in major collections such as the Marmottan Museum.
