Set of 4 identical Louis XVI armchairs (minor differences as they are handmade, but they were made together by the same seat maker and the set has never been split for the last 200 years). France, Louis XVI period, late 18th century circa 1780. One of them is signed Marc Gautron.

Marc Gautron, master on October 25, 1785, lived in Paris rue de Cléry until the French Revolution. He produced Louis XVI seats, classic models, carefully molded and sculpted.

Beautiful model : well shaped, balanced proportions, nice finish. Our seats are covered with a charming Louis XVI style light blue silk from Tassinari & Chatel. Excellent condition, completely restored as new (inside and outside).
