Authentical set of 4 identical Louis XVI armchairs (minor differences as they are handmade, but they were made together by the same seat maker and never separated for the last 200 years). France, Louis XVI period, late 18th century circa 1780.
Beautiful model : well shaped, balanced proportions, nice finish. Our seats are covered with an exceptional brocaded silk from Tassinari & Chatel. This is a very bright 100% silk fabric, a special order made at Tassinari and Chatel. It is a very refined fabric, do not hesitate to ask us to send a sample to get a precise idea.
The medallion seats were a great success at the end of the 18th century. Many of them are characterized by clumsy proportions. Our seats are perfectly balanced. Nice, very fresh set.
Excellent condition, we made them covered as new with that exceptional silk. Old lacquer preserved.
