Pair of large cups and their saucers, Paris porcelain enhanced with fine gold. The handle is decorated with a crescent moon representing the mask of a bearded satyr.
Together with the cups comes a beautiful pair of Empire vermeil tea spoons (sterling silver gilt with fine gold - Old Man hallmark for .950 purity silver) decorated with palmettes. Empire period circa 1815-1820.
Our cups are a very rare, large format whose volume is suitable for use as a breakfast cup in 21st century.
The set is in excellent condition, like new despite being over 200 years old. Very fresh gilt, no accident.
