Tall Paris porcelain vase and its lid, beautiful Empire style production enhanced with fine gold on a blue / periwinkle background, bearded men masks shaped handles - early 19th century production circa 1830.

Our vase is actually an ice box : it is meant to serve a cold dessert or some caviar in the bowl inside, kept fresh with crushed ice below the bowl at the bottom of the vase.

Beautiful, large piece, to be placed in a dining room or in the middle of an Empire pedestal table.

In very good condition ; the color is stunning and very unusual. Fresh colors, superb fine gold gilt with slight local wear.
