Empire ormolu clock, allegory of war - early 19th century circa 1805 : Athena, goddess of war, is holding her sword, standing next to her shield in which is set the dial, wearing her helmet, an armour and a Greek tunic.
The clock is standing on an ormolu base decorated with finely chiseled scene picturing god March, antique-fashionned helmets on the side.
Large, very decorative format, beautiful mercury gilt with a matt and shiny finish.
In very good condition.
