Empire mahogany console, France, early 19th century circa 1810.
Luxury production : mahogany veneer, grey marble and finely chiseled ormolu decoration.
Ideal to place in an entrance hall, dining room or living room.
Our piece is remarkably well preserved : mercury gilt (ormolu) is very fresh, no accident on mahogany (no restoration on the veneer and no crack, which is quite rare for a 200 years old piece of furniture).
Excellent condition : the varnish is new, bronzes were cleaned. Marble is in good condition.
