Louis XVI speckled mahogany veneered Gentleman's dressing table, France, late 18th century.
The gentleman's dressing table differs from the lady's model by a single large flap revealing a mirror and usually a large marble top, while the lady's model opens with 3 flaps, discovering on both sides of the central mirror boxes for ointments and brushes.
The flap of our piece is mounted on rail that allows to move forward on demand the mirror. It is also suitable for use as a small desk or writing table.
Very good condition. The polish has been cleaned by our restorer, it is very smooth and clean. No accident or lack of veneer. Usual slit on the top of the board.
