Pair of Empire ormolu candlesticks, so-called Retour d'Egypte style (back from Egypt), standing on human feet op top of the base, heads of caryatids on the top part (ancient Greek women). Antique production in the taste of Claude Galle, late 18th century or early 19th century circa 1800.
Our candlesticks are made of 9 independent pieces. Below is an engraved an FdP monogram in a shield.
In good condition. Original mercury gilt attenuated but still there.
