Large Baccarat crystal and sterling silver box, late 19th century production.

The lid is engraved with a crown of Count, without a monogram or a coat of arms, which allows to be adapted to all families bearing this title.

French hallmark Minerva 1st title and silversmith's hallmark ; the crystal part is not signed (antique Baccarat production prior to 1936).

Superb, high-end model as far as the crystal container and the silver and vermeil lid are concerned (the lid alone weights 136g, as much as two tumblers !). Beautiful dandy collector's item, witness to the art of living of the high aristocracy at the end of 19th century.

In very good condition (a scratch on the lid, a micro chip below).
