Pair of Empire sterling silver salt cellars, early 19th century, beautiful tripod model finely chiseled with griffins. Early 19th century circa 1800 - 1805.
French hallmark rooster 1st standard and Paris guarantee stamp in use between 1798 and 1809 for .950 purity silver works, French silversmith Ambroise Mignerot mark.
Spoons are later production (hallmark Minerva 1st standard) but fit the model very well.
Elegant proportions, refined model in excellent condition. A glass has a chip on the edge.
