Early 19th century French school : the fish merchant, oil on panel (mahogany panel) signed Louis Auguste Gerard. Very fine seaside landscape painting with many characters and boats. The scene probably take place in Normandy.
Our painting is set into its original gold leaf gilt wood frame.
The set is in excellent condition, very fresh, cleaned. Gilt is superb.
