Large 19th century orientalist engraving circa 1840, showing the city of Constantinople (now Istanbul in Turkey) from the path to Buyuk Dere.
The coupoles and minarets of mosques, and particularly the figure of Saint Sophia and the Bosporus with boats are well distinctive. The road is full of Oriental and European characters in carriages, horseback and pedestrians.
The engraving is set into 1840 a gold leaf gilt wood frame.
Large and very decorative piece for a eclectic and orientalist decoration.
In very good condition ; the frame was cleaned by our restorer. No accident.
