Early Louis XVI period fan, 18th century circa 1775. Finely gouache painted, the fan pictures gallant scenes after Boucher.
The mother of pearl frame is finely chiseled and covered with gold and silver leaves. The pivot of the fan is lined with 2 rhinestones or brilliants ?
Our piece is presented in a beautiful Louis XVI style 19th century gold leaf gilt wood frame, trimmed with grey / blue satin.
The frame can be hung to the wall like a painting, being protected from dust.
