Pair of Louis XV so-called a la Reine armchairs.
Finely carved and molded, Louis XV period Parisian work - middle 18th century.
Our armchairs are not stamped, but they are certainly the work of a great Parisian seat maker : great proportions balance, elegant and nervous sculpture, particularly the sun-shaped sculpture above the leg. For sure that unusual pattern is the signature of the master who executed them (to be identified).
Our seats are covered as new with a beautiful chinoiseries silk (the way chinese people and landscape was seen in Europe in the 18th century).
Very good condition, no accident nor changed parts. Healthy structure.
