Elegant and comfortable armchair called "coin de feu", gold leaf gilt wood, France - 18th century.
Top quality production ; our armchair could have been used in a royal residence. This is the work of a great Parisian seat maker, we attribute it to Jacob.
Our seat was completely restored, gilt was cleaned and restored, seat was redone with a cushion and "trapezium" armrests. Covered with a pink raspberry silk satin manufactured by Tassinari et Chatel, richly embellished with beautiful stripes.
This is a rare museum quality object in excellent condition.
