Elegant lacquered wood working desk or dressing table armchair. Louis XVI period, 18th century circa 1780s.
Our seat is characterized by its much refined proportions and finish, its nervous sculpture, especially the central shell on the bottom. Luxury production ; our armchair used to be gilded and has been lacquered later on.
Our seat is in excellent condition, completely restored as new with a Tassinari & Chatel silk. The cushion's cover is double-sided : it can be used on both sides in case of stain.
