Empire mahogany cabinet armchair. Our armchair is richly covered with a silk gourgouran (Tassinari & Chatel, tobacco-coloured Fontenay fabric). End of Empire period, early 19th century circa 1810.

Although not stamped, the excellent quality of construction, finishes are the work of a great seat maker : Pierre Antoine Bellange, famous seat maker whose family was provider of the French Emperors and Kings during the whole 19th century.

Beautiful amateur model, superior quality ; our seat is quite uncommon and unique. Excellent original condition : no accident nor wood restoration. Our seat has been perfectly restored as new like it was 200 years ago.
