Mahogany armchair, Empire production (early 19th century, Jacob D rue Meslée stamp used from 1803 to 1813 by Georges Jacob (1735-1814) and his son François Jacob Desmalter Honoré (1770-1841) (Jacob Desmalter Company).
Large model ; our chair is typical from Jacob's productions made for the Imperial residences.
Excellent quality, fine execution.
This seat is robust and very comfortable, it is particularly suited for a desk chair usage.
Mahogany is in good condition. Cover was changed changed. Complete restoration : new varnish, new blue grey satin (Tassinari & Chatel).
