Pair of tall Empire ornamental vases, white porcelain enhanced with fine gold standing on a black squared marble base. Restauration production circa 1830 - 1840.
We cannot remove the base to discover a signature, but we attribute them to Sevres Manufacture ; the matte and shiny gilt pattern high-quality finish is one clue, but 3 other typical features at Sevres Manufacture are gathered on these vases :
- circular base instead of square base that other manufacturers commonly use
- very thin gilt and white patterns, specifically on the handles
- nautilus-shaped handles that are used by Sevres on tableware productions of that period
In outstanding condition, no accident, gilt is very fresh.
Height : 30cm (base included)
