Pair of Empire Paris porcelain ice pails, early 19th century production circa 1800 - 1810.
Ice pails used to be meant to serve a cold dessert or some caviar in the bowl inside, kept fresh with crushed ice below the bowl at the bottom of the vase. Beautiful, large pieces, also ideal to be used as an ornamental vases, to be placed in a dining room or in the middle of an Empire pedestal table.
