Rare Empire mahogany cabinet ornamented with very refined ormolu putti, bacchus and lyra. Parisian work, mahogany veneer on oak, early 19th century period circa 1810 in the taste of Molitor.
Our piece of furniture is a made to order piece with hidden spaces behind the drawer and under the upper tray.
Rare piece, ideal to complete an Empire decoration with a unique piece, uncommon yet very aesthetically pleasing. We had the inside covered with a champagne-coloured stripped silk from Tassinary & Chatel.
In excellent condition. French varnish has been restored as new, gilt is perfectly well preserved. Antique veneer repairs.
