Beautiful Empire mahogany console, a high-end production veneered with a rare light mahogany from Saint Domingue, a rare blue marble on top, finely chiseled mercury gilt bronze ornamentation (ormolu) by famous French bronzemaker Thomire showing putti as beekeepersaround a hive. Empire period, early 19th century circa 1810.

In excellent condition. Original ormolu ornamentation, gilt has remained superb.
