Mahogany and ormolu Empire console, early 19th century
circa 1805-1810.

Our piece of furniture belongs to the high-range of Empire console : much finely chiseled mercury gilt bronze decoration on the pilasters and drawer that reminds us of Thomire work, luxury red marble on top, blond mahogany veneer on an oak structure. It might be a production of Jacob Desmalter.

Superb console in excellent condition, cleaned and polished by our cabinetmaker, original ormolu decoration - very fresh gilt. Small chips on the marble.

Width : 107cm
Height : 88.5cm
Depth : 41.5cm
