This is a "commode-console" a combination of 2 pieces of furnitures made for 2 different usages : a fine Empire period pilasters console, into which fits a removable box with 3 drawers and a leather tab.
This is a "two in one" cabinet, made for officers or traveling gentlemen. It can be console to place in an officer's tent or become a dresser in a bedroom, or a writing table.
Luxury Parisian production : mottled mahogany, beautiful ormolu decoration.
Our furniture has kept its original leather and marble. It is in excellent condition, our furniture has been completely revarnished by our cabinetmaker. The gilding of the bronzes is well preserved , an corner of the marble has a small chip.
