Marquetry commode, Louis XV Louis XVI Transition period circa 1777 - 1780.
Beautiful Parisian work ; rosewood, satin wood, amaranth and green coloured box tree fine marquetry, ormolu decoration, grey marble on top. It opens with 3 drawers on the highest level, and another two on the lower levels. Proportions are perfect.
It is stamped Hubert Roux who became master in 1777. It is a work of the beginning of his carreer.
In excellent condition. Varnish has been made in a traditional way. Some antique repair marks.
