French Regency violet wood commode / chest of drawers, early Louis XV period production.
Beautiful rococo bronze decoration - Chinese scenes typical from Louis XV productions while violet wood is a Regency standard ; 2 large and 2 small drawers, a thick grey / pink marble.
Our piece is signed IMC that seems to be the mark Jean Mathieu Chevallier used to stamp on his early productions.
In very good condition. The varnish has been remade in a traditional way ; the original marble used to be broken, but (very well) repaired.
