Elegant writing desk for a lady, so-called bonheur du jour in French, mahogany veneer, mercury mirrors, ormolu bronzes decoration (mercury gilt), lion claws shaped feet, white marble on top.

Empire production in the very fashionable Back from Egypt style, early 19th century circa 1800. Parisian production, shamrock-shaped lock, matt and shiny ormolu finish. Original leather inside.

In very good condition. The antique warnish has been cleaned. Ormolu is outstandingly fresh. Original mercury glass with a few stains. The drawer has its key.
