Pair of Directoire patinated bronze and ormolu candlesticks - late 18th century / early 19th century : a winged sphinge (mythological animal half woman half lioness) is sitting on a bronze column, standing on a white marble terrace. On her head, the binet supporting the candle.

Beautiful work, inspired by the models of Feucheres or François Remond.

Very decorative placed on top of a mantel, a commode or in the center of a dining room table since our pieces are decorated in front and behind.

Very good condition, no lack except small chains. Gilt is well preserved.
