Beautiful pair of Empire ormolu and patinated bronze pair of candelabras, early 19th century between 1805 and 1820.
A couple of Roman (a man and a woman) naked, half draped in a toga, carries a gilt bronze amphora from which escapes 3 natural rosebushes-shaped lights. The gilt bronze pedestal base is decorated with masks and a palmette frieze.
High quality work, matt and shiny gilt, sharp sculpture and finely chiseled bronze.
Beautiful set, very decorative. Ideal above a fireplace, on a console or to illuminate a refined table.
The set is in very good condition. Gilt is well preserved with some wear.
