Pair of Empire period ormolu (gilt bronze) candlesticks by Claude Galle. France, early 19th century circa 1800-1805.

Claude Galle (1759-1815) is one of the most talented French bronzemakers working during Louis XVI reign and Empire period.

Good general condition: some slight deformations underneath. Original mercury gilt well preserved with some wear.
