Pair of Empire style ormolu candlesticks, early 19th century circa 1820.

Very close pattern to a pair made for Saint Cloud Palace in 1822 (work of Choiselat Gallien), now in the French Republic collections.

Elegant model, much refined finish, in excellent condition, gilt very fresh.
